It is that time of the year again when our thoughts turn to filling shoe boxes for those who are not as fortunate as us, and their shoe box is often the only gift they will receive over the Christmas period. This year, more than ever Blythswood Care are desperate for us all to try and donate, as like many other charities things are looking very bleak for them.
After some discussion, we have decided that with all the rules and regulations in place because of the Covid 19 outbreak, we would ask you if you are willing to donate to this worthwhile cause, could you make it a monetary contribution only.
If you do, could you please hand it into the Church, put it through the letterbox at the Church Hall or give it to any Elder, who will pass it on to me by the end of October and I will send a covering cheque to Blythswood Care.
If you would like to put your name on the bottom of the envelope, I will be able to keep track of money/cheques or put anonymous if you don't wish to add your name.
Many thanks to all who are willing to participate and hope you keep well and safe.
Betty Glen
Blythswood Care Coordinator

We plan to hold a Harvest Thanksgiving service at the end of October with a Retiring Offering which will be donated to the Falkirk Food Bank. Our Housebound members will receive a small floral gift which will be delivered by their elder.

We were due to celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion on 4th October 2020, but arrangements could not be put in place at this time. Our Retiring Offering was to be donated to Macmillan Nurses. This will, however, take place on 11th October. Our annual Macmillan Coffee Morning did not take place. This raised a substantial amount and will be sadly missed, but our donations will be gratefully received by this charity.

Calendars are now available to order from Janet Anderson. Costs of Calendars £5.
