Holiday Club 2007
Polmont Old Parish Church
Holiday Club Report and Photos
The Holiday Club ran from the 6th August to 10th August and was followed by a mini clean up of Polmont on Saturday 11th August which culminated with a super duper lunch.
Our theme this year was Waste Watchers led by the Rev. Jerome O'Brien with his band of merry helpers which included teenagers from The Grid (Youth club), who, with an adult, organised the games and music as well as taking part in the Dramas.
Over 50 children were registered for the week. There were games, crafts, singing and drama along with the telling of The Good News (Bible Stories).
The children, we were privileged to have, excelled in all subjects and were a delight to have around. On the whole a good time was had by all.
We were fortunate to receive sponsorship from Asda, the Co-op, and our own congregation, for which we are most grateful. Scott Riddell of Loves, newsagents in Polmont, supplied gifts for the children.
